Why did some Railroad Steam Engines have what look like Blinders at the front of the engine?
I have seen some pictures of Railroad Steam engines that have what look like Blinders used on Mules and horses. Funny thing to see on a Steam Engine as Steam engines doesn’t see so why are these on here? Could it be used to make a better line of sight for the Engineer? Here are some pictures of what I am talking about.
