Coffee Pot No.1 in Steam at Rowley Station, Beamish Museum [HD]

Footage of our Head Wrightson shunting engine in steam at Rowley Station, February 2011. Coffee Pot No.1, a veteran from 1871, is seen carrying out a genuine day’s work when the curatorial team at Beamish Museum were engaged in moving rolling stock into and out of the storage areas. This gave a great opportunity to see some items not normally on public display, as well as giving the curatorial team a public outing in all their dishevelled states! Here is a sequence of film taken over the day. Note that the signals are non-operational and aren’t being passed at ‘danger’.
