Central Pacific #60, The Jupiter


This is an accurate replica of the historic Jupiter steam locomotive at the Golden Spike National Monument at Promontory Summit, Utah, location where the last spike was driven to complete the Transcontinental Railroad. It is used to re-enact the Golden Spike ceremony. Replica of the other participant to the Golden Spike, Union Pacific #119 was in the shops for maintenance this day, and was not available for viewing.
