Railways For Ever! (1970)

This film is available to buy as part of the 18-disc boxset ‘The British Transport Films Collection’ – filmstore.bfi.org.uk 11 August 1968 is a highly significant date in British railway history, marking the official end of regular mainline steam operation. As we see the last steam train crossing the Pennines and hear the Edwardian music-hall song ‘Watching the Trains Go Out’, Sir John Benjamin begins to reminisce. His nostalgic verse and prose recall the great trains of old as he moves through a photographic exhibition in Kingsway. For more information on British Transport Films, visit www.screenonline.org.uk

Ever used the Steam Game Engine?

Hi. I just made an account to the Steam Game Engine and am planning to buy a game…can someone give me a basic explanation of what you can do in Steam and things like that? Also, I’m looking for a good game that is multiplayer so you can connect online and play with other users…do I have to add friends to my account to do that or can I just randomly play whenever? Any recommendations for games? Thanks!

What was the Largest and Most Powerful Railroad Steam Engine ever Built?

I have read and am still confused on which Railroad Steam Engine is the Largest and most Powerful ever built. I have read that the either the Union Pacific’s Big Boy or Challenger were the largest Most Powerful but have also read the Beyer-Garratt used in Zimbabwe is the Largest and Most Powerful. And maybe the Southern Pacific Cab Forward might also be up there too. So the question is which is the Largest Most Powerful of the listed Steam Engines?
