A Footplate ride on ‘Jennifer’ at The Gwili Steam Railway, Carmarthen 14/05/2011

This is the first of two programs I shall be uploading from my visit to The Gwili Railway. It gives you the rare opportunity to join me on the footplate of the recently arrived 1942 built Hudswell Clarke& Co ‘Jennifer’ on a journey from Bronwydd Arms to Dan Y Coed. You will also see the Driver Alan, fireman Dan, Guard Richard and Emlyn the Signalman doing the splendid work they do for the Railway. My next video will follow three customers on a Driving Experience Day, another privileged insight into one of these popular services available on the Railway. All footage filmed was hand held for obvious reasons, so my apologies for any undue shaking…Bob

A Wonderful Day Out With Thomas at the Gwili Railway Carmarthenshire 24/04/2011

In this video we start at the special station at Cwmdwyfran, which has been erected especially for this event which runs over the Easter period. We hear a brief introduction from Peter Nicholas the Chairman of the Gwili and the Fat Controller. We then see Thomas arriving with the first train of the day to Llwyfan Cerrig where a heavily edited selection of the wonderful events and facilities that the staff have put on to entertain the visitors of all ages. It was a delight to see the amazement on the faces of the children attending when Thomas and friends arrived, this coupled with the hilarious antics of Rob the Driver, The Fat Controller, and the Cleaner made for a very enjoyable day out. I hope you enjoy this different approach to a Thomas event at the Gwili
