Steam into a wild experience as driver of zoo’s Jumbo Express
IT’S ALMOST a decade since I learned to drive, and I can happily say that I am a confident – and competent – driver. Well, I was. Until I took on a mode of transport quite unlike anything I’ve ever driven before at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo.

Carpet Steam Cleaning: Breathing New Life Into Your Expensive Rugs

Are you a connoisseur of antique Persian rugs? Or do you simply enjoy resting your feet on soft, warm carpets? Whatever be the reason, if you have carpets in your home, you should get those cleaned at least once every couple of years. Getting carpets cleaned at regular intervals will keep those hygienic for use and also maintain the luster of the fibers.

Carpets can absorb and retain a lot of oily dirt and moisture. This type of dirt gets drawn towards the inner layers of fiber and cannot be removed by conventional vacuum cleaners. What’s more, this type of dirt in turn attracts dry dirt and soil, trapping those in the lower layers as well. With prolonged usage of the carpet, these dirt buildups act as breeding grounds for viruses, fungi, and mold. These can cause various diseases, from skin ailments and allergies to respiratory disorders, in both kids and grownups. Getting your carpet steam-cleaned by a professional will remove these harmful substances and make the carpets safe for use.

In order to prevent this, you should use a vacuum cleaner to clean your carpet at least once a week. This will remove the loose layers of dirt that get trapped on the top layers of fiber. However, vacuum cleaners will not be able to deep clean your carpet. Only a trained professional will be able to operate a steam cleaner properly, to dislodge dirt from the lower layers of fiber with superheated steam and suck those out with a vacuum cleaner.

The professional carpet cleaner will determine what type of fiber your carpet is made of. Then, the professional will ask you about your expectations. You will be able to tell him what kind of dirt your carpet has been exposed to, and which spots you believe will require intensive cleaning. He will tell you how much he charges for the kind of service you need. Then will set an appointment on another day, when he will come over with specialized equipment to clean your carpet. If a professional does not go through these steps, you might as well bid goodbye to him without further discussion.

Professional carpet cleaning in Phoenix, AZ is carried out by trained personnel, who know how to deep clean your carpet while keeping it in good shape. If you live in or around Phoenix, make sure you call up one of the professional operating in the area. Some professional also offer carpet cleaning coupons in their websites, which can get you excellent discounts on the fees they charge for their services. This will ensure that your carpet lasts long and will also provide excellent value for money to you.

Do you think that, if not “discovered”, the original Aztecs(mexicans)would have evolved into modern cities?

The ancient Aztec civilization was extremely advanced.. It was a combination of three other ancient cultures, like three rivers running into the mississippi-the Mayans, Zapotecs, and Toltecs.
They had a written language, the only American Indians to possess one; they built enormous pyramidal structures without
any knowledge of the Egyptians—-

Click on the above computer animation to get blown away…..

They had possibly the most accurate astronomical charts in the world, and a decent understanding of relatively advanced mathematical principals, amongst an elaborate priesthood caste
that rivaled the concurrent Catholic Church…so, my point is,
if left alone, how far would they have advanced in the 600 years since Cortes?
My opinion is that they would have had a very advanced civ, maybe like ours in the 1800′s, and would have made major discoveries of technology, like steam power and such, as well.
So…..what do YOU think?

What is most amazing is the Aztec written language….click on the below link and check out the original written language of the aztec’s, before any contact whatsoever
with the Europeans, and then tell me how far you think they would be today without any contact……..

goddess, thanks for pointing out stolen
continents..i’m ordering it from amazon right now
BTW, Goddess, in passing, your avatar makes you look like one of those new
world princesses of old………thanks again for the tip, and its amazing how cheap you
can get used books..i picked it up for $2.38!
good points papeche…..I think that all progress stems fro stessors and collective conflict such as war, starvation, and such.
I’m just basing on the culture they build from scratch in 300 years on that island….

Surely in 600 years they would have taken it a lot father even without outsiders, just a question of HOW far…

How can I get ovaltine chocolate milk that has been set into beige carpet overnight… OUT!?!?

Sometime yesterday, my daughter spilled ovaltine chocolate milk onto the light beige carpet in her toy room. (P.S., this is a brand new house that we built last year… Ugh!) Instead of TELLING us, she just left it there, and it wasn’t until this morning that I discovered it. I have tried everything I can think of:

1st: Woolite Oxi Carpet Stain remover (I have used Resolve in the past, and I think this stuff works better)
2nd: The woolite “pod” that they advertise on TV
3rd: Oxiclean
4th: My Hoover steam vac
5th: Borax gently rubbed in with a scrub brush
6th: Grandma’s secret spot remover
7th: My Hoover steam vac again

Any other ideas? The ovaltine makes sort of a pink stain. It looks terrible against the light beige. Please help!!!
P.S. I have since tried salt, tide, dish soap, and spot shot. Nothing has completely worked yet… but it has lightened.
