A question for people who support late term abortions (up to 24 weeks)?

Scenario: A foetus is aborted at say 23 weeks, and survives the initial abortion.

As a late term abortion supporter, in your opinion should the law say:

a) Because the foetus has been aborted, it is not considered a human and therefore should be left to die, with or without the mother’s consent. (I believe that’s the case in the UK, could anyone clarify that though as I’m not certain?)

b) In the event of survival of abortion, the mother should be asked to sign a consent form saying the baby can be given medical care. If consent is not given, the baby is still considered a foetus and therefore left to die.

c) In the event of survival of abortion, the baby should be legally considered a human and given medical care to enhance chances of long term survival with or without the mother’s consent?

And why is your opinion what it is?

**DISCLAIMER** I understand abortion is a sensitive topic for many, and a lot are fully against it, and a lot are against late term abortions (as am I, as it happens). But noone else can answer this question besides people who do support late term abortions, so for those who disagree, click off if you can’t stand to read this without adding your tuppence. There are a million and one abortion debates on here, so go find one of those if you wish to let off steam.

No thumbs downs or judgement from me.
Jack – Just FYI, there is an entire world outside of the States, you know. And yes, the whole abortion debate IS played out and tiring, which is why I specified no unrelated tuppences please. But thanks for adding your unrelated tuppence and turning it into an abortion debate. *rolls eyes*

And sorry that those of you who’ve actually answered the question are getting thumbed down, should have guessed. As I said, none from me, I’m just interested in your opinions.
