Steam Locomotives of the ‘Big Four’ and British Railways


Heres a slideshow of the steam locos of the ‘Big Four’ rail companies of Britain and British Railways. Starting from the smallest locos then gradually building to the powerfull and biggest ones! Sorry if the filming dosn’t look very clear, I probally have a different Windows Movie Maker! But still enjoy it!

“British locomotives” 1959 Steam Trains, Diesel Trains, Electric Trains.


“British Locomotives” was produced in 1959, and shows the development of British diesel, electric and steam engines, including the famous “Deltic” class diesel which were the most powerful locomotives at the time.
