HD: Conway Scenic Railroad Steam in the Snow 2012

On January 7, 2012, the Mass Bay Rail Enthusiasts chartered a photographers’ special on the Conway Scenic Railroad from North Conway to Notchland and return featuring ex Canadian National 0-6-0 #7470. Titled “Steam in the Snow”, the event featured runbys at various locations on the eastbound return featuring Notchland, Cobb Farm Road, Bartlett, Woodland Pines, and North Conway. Departing at 1030hrs, ex MEC GP7 #573 lead the train west to Notchland where it was cut off and returned light engine following the extra which was then being lead by the 7470. We catch both west and eastbound trains at various locations begining with 7470 emerging from the roundhouse at North Conway and ending with the runby at Woodland Pines. Pennsylvania Railroad “T1″ 4-4-4-4 Duplex Steam Locomotives – 1940′s Trains in America

Pennsylvania Railroad “T1″ 4-4-4-4 Duplex Steam Locomotives – 1940′s Trains in America Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) “T1″ steam locomotives filmed in late 1940′s. Includes scenes of the wheel slip that plagued these locomotives. “The Pennsylvania Railroad’s 52 T1 class duplex-drive 4-4-4-4 steam locomotives, introduced in 1942 (2 prototypes) and 1946 (50 production), were their last-built steam locomotives and their most controversial. They were ambitious, technologically sophisticated, powerful, fast, and uniquely streamlined by Raymond Loewy.” – information supplied by wikipedia – en.wikipedia.org

Strasburg Railroad: Trains & Troops 2010

Like us on Facebook! www.facebook.com Follow us on Twitter! twitter.com On a very windy Sunday in November, Penn Rail Videos brings you trackside along the Road to Paradise for the annual Trains & Troops event. We’ll see locomotives #89 and #90 handling the duties for today, with #89 on the Troop Train, which we will follow extensively in this video. Penn Rail Videos is bringing you over 20 minutes of steam action in Lancaster County, and what better place to be than the Strasburg Railroad? We’d like to note that this video does contain some wind noise; gusts this day were rated at 40+ MPH, and with little obstructions, the wind would blow with ease. So sit back, and enjoy some wholesome railroad action along the Road to Paradise.

Huckleberry Railroad Christmas Steam Train Passing Through Genesee, MI

The Huckleberry Railroad old antique steam train passes the railroad crossing at the corner of Stanley and Genesee Roads in Genesee, MI. Sorry for the long intro; I saw the locomotive’s headlight coming towards me just as I was driving into town from the opposite direction, and I thought the train was getting close, so I immediately started taping just as I got out of my truck. I guess it wasn’t as close as I expected it to be. The train approaches the town and the engineer blows the whistle at 1:57, and the warning devices activate at around 2:00. I also apologize for the shaking towards the end. This video was taken with my new Canon PowerShot SX120 IS.

Puffing Billy Narrow Gauge Australian Steam Railway pt1 – Australian Preserved Railroad – züge

An artsy intro I did for one of my home movies. Unfortunately I didnt have my tripod with me when filming these scenes :-( Puffing Billy is a genuine relic of our more leisurely days. An historic steam train still running regularly in the mountain district it was built to serve at the turn of the century. The Railway is the sole survivor of four experimental lines used to develop rural areas in the early 1900′s. Puffing Billy is now a major tourist attraction, its operation depending on hundreds of dedicated volunteers. For more information about whis wonderful narrow gauge railway visit the official website www.puffingbilly.com.au
