5029 Nunney Castle with the Weymouth Seaside Express on 29th August 2010

We follow 5029 Nunney Castle on Sunday 29th August 2010 with the Weymouth Seaside Express. The first scene is at Trowbridge where it pulls in to pickup passengers. Then the driver pulls forward and plonks the beast right under the roadbridge thus covering myself and others in swirling coal ash, water and hot condensing steam thus making filming impossible under such conditions (I wont do that again in a hurry) The second shot sees 5029 powering up out of Frome after having taken on water and making for the mainline connection for its onward journey to Weymouth. Mid-morning all the evening timings were revised, so I decided to return to Frome to catch the engine prior to taking on water. It arrived at Frome at 7.55pm. When I turned up at the station at 615pm everyone there, including the water tanker driver, were unaware of the revised timings until I showed them on the UK Steam website. Aaaahh the beauty of the internet on a mobile.
