34067 Tangmere performs like an 8P with an unassisted climb of Upwey Bank with the Sunny south special on the 9/7/09. Tangmere has now got a record as it is the first BoB to haul 11 coaches on Upwey Bank unassisted

Steaming along the Garden Route — part 3/4 (South Africa)


Part 3 of 4 : George — Knysna A five day rail excursion from Cape Town with steam during the day. We travel via Worcester, Hartenbos, George, over the Montague Pass to Oudtshoorn, and along the scenic coastal line to Knysna before returning to Cape Town. Part of a trip by Ffestiniog Travel to South Africa in September 1999.

UNION OF SOUTH AFRICA Steam Locomotive


Rolling off the Settle/Carlisle line, USA is seen here on the Whalley Viaduct and at an unusual location, Cherry tree Station, just south of Blackburn, Lancashire, England, where its watered from a hydrant on the bridge above.
