Strasburg Railroad: President’s Day Weekend

On the day of the Virginia Creeper photo charter, Penn Rail Videos was briefly on-hand to capture the first runs of the 2010 season. #89 was out doing the honors, and for the new decade she is sporting a B&O 3 chime whistle. So sit back and enjoy some footage from the first day of operations in 2010. Here’s some pictures from the day! chessie2101.smugmug.com

Strasburg Railroad: A Fine February Day

Penn Rail Videos is proud to bring you our first video of this year featuring the Strasburg Railroad! In the video, we’ll be trackside as we watch engine #7312 do the honors in pulling the excursions. The engine looked cleaned and seemed to be ever so cheerful. This is also our first production of the Strasburg Railroad in WIDESCREEN, so this is a big step forward for Penn Rail Videos. So sit back, and enjoy this awesome footage we were able to obtain on this fine February Day.

Strasburg Railroad: The Virginia Creeper

On Saturday, February 13th, 2010, a select few stepped back in time for a day. Penn Rail Videos was apart of this select group, as Lerro Productions put on a fine recreation of the Norfolk & Western’s Abingdon Branch operations. The locomotive powering the train is #475 dressed up as N&W #382; a sister M-Class 4-8-0. She is also wearing a unique whistle; the same whistle the real #382 wore when she was in service. That means it’s NOT the shop-built 3-chime. So sit back, and enjoy this time-warp to a much simpler time in southern Virginia. A Day at the Strasburg Railroad

The day after the NH&I I visited the Strasburg Railroad. It was a very windy day, and I tried to tighten my tripod as much as possible at times. So please pardon some shakiness and wind noise. Besides those minor things, enjoy ex-Great Western 90 hauling this classic steam train on the Road to Paradise!!

Like us on Facebook! www.facebook.com Follow us on Twitter! twitter.com On a warm July day, Penn Rail Videos along with Dan Davis, journeyed out to the Amish Country to check out some railroading action. You’ll see 4-8-0 #475 on the Strasburg’s passenger trains. We’ll then take you along the Amtrak mainline to view high speed passenger action! Witness a treat as well, when Strasburg’s SW-8 #8618 hauls 4 cars out to the interchange at Leaman Place. A meet between the excursion train and the SW-8 will occur at Groff’s Grove when the 8618 heads back lite to Strasburg. We hope you enjoy this compilation from a day in the Amish Country!
