CP2816 Lethbridge Viaduct (Summer), Lethbridge, Alberta


CP2816 crossing Canada’s largest railway structure; the Lethbridge Viaduct. The 1624m long massive steel trestle 95.7m above the Oldman River bed. The viaduct was built by the Canadian Pacific Railway between 1907 and 1909 and was opened in August 1909. [The audio has been extensively edited to remove the very strong shear wind gusts that were active at the time. Lethbridge (LA) being known as the “Windy City”]

(HD) LVR summer steam with 6623 & 69546


Saturday, 6th August provided another action packed day on the Litttlebrook Valley Railway with 0-6-2T’s GWR 56xx No:6623 and ex LNER ‘N2’ No:69546 handling the two service trains. No:5073 ‘Blenhiem Castle’ was also in action hauling the autocoach special saloon which had been chartered for the day.
